Morocco Raises Minimum Wage Across Industries, Implementing 2019 Social Dialogue Agreement

As part of the implementation of the results of the social dialogue of April 25, 2019, the guaranteed minimum interprofessional wage (SMIG) has been increased since July 1, 2020.
As of July 1, 2019, the SMIG, according to Official Bulletin No. 6790 of June 27, 2019, was 14.13 dirhams per hour, or approximately 2,698.83 dirhams per month in the industry, commerce and liberal professions sectors, and 1,903.72 dirhams in the agricultural sector, not including benefits in kind.
As of July 1, 2020, the SMIG rises to 2,828.71 dirhams per month in the industry, commerce and liberal professions sectors, and to 1,994.20 dirhams in the agricultural sector, not including benefits in kind.
