Morocco’s Rabat Stadium Set for High-Tech Makeover

The Moulay Abdallah stadium in Rabat is about to become one of the most technologically advanced sports complexes in the world. This is what Zineb Benmoussa, CEO of the National Equipment Agency, announced.
This ultramodern stadium will be equipped with a Wi-Fi network covering all the seats, allowing spectators to remain connected at all times. A state-of-the-art surveillance system, composed of 800 cameras and facial recognition technologies, will ensure the security of the premises.
The sports venue will also be equipped with intelligent portals, capable of managing a large flow of spectators and filling the stadium in less than an hour. For television broadcasts, 42 locations will be dedicated to cameras, ensuring optimal coverage of sporting events.
Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, confirmed that the new Prince Moulay Abdallah stadium in Rabat will be ready for the next international break, in March 2025. The national team will notably play the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on the pitch of this stadium.
