Morocco to Produce High-Quality Face Masks for International Export

The Minister of Industry, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, said that Morocco will produce better quality masks for export.
"If ever we plan to sell abroad, it will be with better quality masks that will create jobs," said MHE, who visited one of the country’s mask production plants, Soft Tech. According to the minister, the masks that will be produced will be subject to quality control by the Moroccan Institute of Standardization (IMANOR), to ensure their compliance with international standards.
"Specific standards have been developed for these masks, so that there can be no risk of contamination," he assured. For his part, Abderrahim Taibi, director of IMANOR, will specify that "these Moroccan standards, like all standards, can evolve and everyone is invited to contribute to them".
In addition, the Minister of Industry said that Morocco is now producing 3 million mask units per day and plans to reach 5 million per day as early as next week.
