Morocco Prepares Three-Stage Plan to Combat Potential Coronavirus Outbreak

In the absence of epidemiological data and hindsight on the Coronavirus epidemic, all countries have tried, as best they can, to put in place a health prevention system. Morocco is one of them.
Following to the letter the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the epidemiology department of the Ministry of Health has drawn up three scenarios, in the face of the proliferation of the deadly virus.
According to the statements of the director of the department, Mohamed Lyoubi, relayed by Almaghrib24, the probability of the spread of Covid-19 within the population is low, knowing that the country is still at stage 1 of the fight against the Coronavirus.
"We expect 200 suspected cases and 50 confirmed cases during stage 1 of the epidemic, while at level 2, these figures can reach 2,000 to 5,000 suspected cases," said the ministry official, before concluding that during stage 3, the critical phase of the epidemic, the number of confirmed cases should reach 10,000.
