Morocco Praises Saudi Arabia’s ’Judicious’ Coronavirus Measures for Pilgrims

Morocco has described the measures adopted by Saudi Arabia to counter the coronavirus as "judicious and responsible".
These measures were taken, given the continued spread of the Coronavirus epidemic, in accordance with the preventive measures recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and which all countries are called upon to take at the national level, specifies the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, in a statement.
Morocco has described these measures as "judicious and responsible", due to the large number of pilgrims converging towards the Holy Sites, and who come from various horizons. These measures are also inspired by a Quranic verse: "If you learn of the existence of the plague in a place, do not enter it! And if the plague strikes a place where you are, do not leave it!"
In addition, the Moroccan authorities call on Moroccan citizens to strictly respect the measures, concludes the statement.
