Brexit is an opportunity that Morocco can use to attract more British tourists. This is what Simon Calder, a journalist for the English daily "The Independent", declared last Thursday in London.
It was on the sidelines of the Moroccan Tourism Summit, organized by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), that this travel specialist declared to the MAP that Brexit is an opportunity for the Kingdom to further promote the Moroccan destination. Attract all those who would like to do without the complicated trips to Europe.
Knowing Morocco well, he insists that the Kingdom has tourist assets worth a visit, whether you have chosen Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, Fez, Marrakech or Taroudant. "You will find two fantastic Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts, beautiful landscapes between Essaouira and Agadir as well as in the Rif or Atlas mountains, in addition to the breathtaking view from the desert," he stressed.
When asked about the peculiarity of Moroccan culture, Simon Calder noted that Morocco is a "very welcoming" destination that harmoniously combines traditions, hospitality and modernity.
The Moroccan Tourism Summit, according to MAP, brought together many Moroccan officials and professionals, as well as representatives of the main British tour operators, airlines and professional tourism associations. At the heart of their exchanges, several themes related to the main tourist axes such as air service, positioning, distribution and marketing.
