Morocco Players Vow to Forfeit Bonuses if Team Fails to Top Group at African Cup

The national team players have unanimously decided to give up the bonus proposed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) if they do not qualify for the second round at the top of their Group D.
This decision follows the criticism expressed by the Moroccan public against the players from European clubs. According to Mehdi Bourabiaa, "it is a reaction to the questioning of the players’ abilities to qualify, especially after the departure of Abderrazak Hamdallah".
The player added that the decision "follows the accusations of forming small allied groups within the national team. The Moroccans sympathized with Hamdallah, and considered his departure as a reaction to the inconveniences caused by these groups, which forced him to leave".
In their first match, the Moroccans narrowly defeated the Namibian team. The hardest part remains to be done as they have to overcome two other teams, namely Côte d’Ivoire and South Africa.
