Morocco Plans $20 Million International Football Stadium in Dakhla

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced its intention to build a football stadium to "international standards" in Dakhla. The estimated budget for the project is 200 million DH.
The stadium will be located northeast of the city of Dakhla, at the intersection of National Road N1 and road P1100 leading to the Dakhla peninsula. The FRMF is committed to this project and has already launched an architectural competition for the design and supervision of its implementation. The call for tenders is available on the public procurement platform.
According to the architectural competition notice, the stadium will be built on an area of about 50 Ha. Its total capacity is 15,000 seats, of which 5,000 are covered. The estimated budget for the project, which is 200 million DH, covers the construction work, fixed equipment and installations, ground adaptations and outdoor developments.
The project consists of the natural grass playing field, the stands and the cover, the premises under the stands, the forecourt and the outdoor developments, including the parking areas with a total capacity of 750 cars and 50 buses, with separate spaces (spectators, VIP, teams/officials and media).
The opening of the bids for the architectural competition is scheduled for September 1 at 10 a.m., at the National Agency for Public Facilities in Rabat, the delegated project owner.
