Morocco Plans Gradual Easing of Lockdown Measures After Ramadan

Moroccans will soon move from confinement to the deconfinement stage, which is a gradual return to normal life. In a video shared on his official page, Ahmed Reda Chami, president of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), presented several possible scenarios for deconfinement.
Deconfinement, according to him, can begin after the Ramadan period, but under certain conditions that are important to respect, in order not to return to a situation of contamination worse than the one from which we are emerging. Staying at home and going out only in case of extreme necessity will remain topical, even after confinement.
Reda Chami also points out that "the wearing of masks to protect oneself and protect the health of others will be mandatory". He recommends that masks after confinement be "washable protective masks", in order to facilitate the task for the population. Among other measures that should be maintained after confinement, there is the "respect of social distancing and regular hand washing". "The intensification of health prevention in the workplace and public spaces" also remains necessary for the well-being of all, reports Hespress.
Globally, the CESE president proposes "deconfinement by age group, so that the elderly and those with low immunity remain at home". This is a scenario that seems difficult, but not unrealizable. According to him, this scenario also takes into account the regional factor, since the least affected regions will emerge first.
