Morocco Plans 90,000-Seat Stadium in Casablanca, Aims for 2030 World Cup Final

Morocco plans to build a large capacity stadium in Casablanca that can accommodate over 90,000 spectators, in order to try to convince FIFA to host the 2030 World Cup final there.
Spain, Portugal and Morocco will host the 2030 World Cup. But the location of the final is already sparking a real debate and each host country is trying to convince FIFA that it has the best stadium to host the last match of the competition.
In Spain, Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu and Barça’s Camp Nou are the stadiums considered to host the final. For its part, Morocco has publicly expressed its wish to see this final played in Casablanca. The kingdom wants to accelerate the construction of a "Grand Stadium" in the coastal town of Mansouria, in the province of Benslimane, about 40 km north of Casablanca and 50 km south of Rabat, to host the event, reports HuffPost.
The world football governing body has not yet established a distribution of the stadiums where the matches will be played. What is known so far is that around 14 stadiums in the three host countries will host these matches and that three matches will take place in Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina, in commemoration of the centenary of the World Cup.
