Morocco’s El Ouahdi Committed to National Team, Father Confirms

The father of Zakaria El Ouahdi has spoken out to put an end to the speculation around his son’s international future. Persistent rumors suggested that the Racing Genk player could succumb to the sirens of the Belgian national team. This is not the case, assures his father, who also manages his interests.
"Zakaria is very attached to the Moroccan team," he hammered. The bronze Olympic medal won with the Atlas Lions is a testament to his commitment. Moreover, the trust placed in him by Walid Regragui strengthens his attachment to the selection.
"It was never a question for him to wear the Belgian jersey," he affirms, stressing that the decision to represent Morocco was well thought out. "Playing for Morocco is a great pride," he added, describing this feeling as "priceless".
While Belgium has tried to convince the player, these efforts have been in vain. "Zakaria is proud to represent his country and considers the Moroccan national team as his priority," insists his father.
The latter denounces distorted statements and calls for an end to the spread of "totally unfounded" rumors.
