Morocco Opens New Consulate in Murcia, Spain to Serve Local Community

Long demanded by Moroccans residing in the Murcia region, the opening of the Moroccan consulate was officially announced this week.
Until now, Moroccans from the entire region had to go all the way to Valencia, more than 220 km away, to obtain identity documents or to solve certain administrative problems, causing a lot of expenses in the process.
The Consulate of Murcia will issue Moroccans residing in the region with documents such as Moroccan national identity cards, passports or powers of attorney.
In addition, Moroccans from Murcia will now also be able to celebrate their marriages there, declare births or deaths.
Furthermore, people who have already applied for the issuance of their passport in Valencia can now collect it directly from the new consulate in Murcia.
