Morocco to Open Liaison Office in Israel Within Two Weeks, Foreign Minister Says

Morocco plans to open a liaison office in Israel within two weeks. The statement was made on Tuesday by the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita.
During a joint press conference, held in Rabat with the Advisor to the US President, Jared Kushner, and the Israeli National Security Advisor, Meir Ben-Shabbat, the head of Moroccan diplomacy indicated that the agreement provides for "the immediate resumption of full contacts between Israeli officials and their Moroccan counterparts, and the establishment of full fraternal and diplomatic relations".
For the minister, the tripartite agreement, which was signed, on the Moroccan side, by Saâdeddine El Othmani, "stipulates that each party will fully implement its commitments and define new steps, before the end of next January".
"Morocco has agreed with the United States and the State of Israel to fully respect the points mentioned in this announcement, to promote them and to defend them," added Nasser Bourita at the end of the press conference.
An Israeli-American delegation, led by the Advisor to the US President, Jared Kushner, was received on Tuesday at the Royal Palace in Rabat by King Mohammed VI. At the end of the audience, a Joint Declaration was signed between the Kingdom, the United States and Israel.
