Morocco’s ONCF Boosts Train Service for Eid Al Fitr Travel Rush

To best manage the high influx of travelers often observed during the Eid Al Fitr period, the National Railway Office (ONCF) announced on Wednesday that it has concocted a "special Eid Al Fitr" transport plan.
According to the press release from the National Railway Office (ONCF), this plan will be operational from Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 9, and aims to guarantee the travel of customers in the best conditions of comfort and safety.
To get to the essentials, the plan provides, among other things, the scheduling of additional trains to reach 230 trains per day, the increase in the number of seats on board the trains on the main lines of the rail network, including for the "Al Boraq" trains. Also, the strengthening of the teams in charge of welcoming and guiding passengers in stations and on board trains, not to mention the improvement of travel conditions through the system of numbered seat reservations on board.
Passengers are advised to make certain arrangements in order to fully enjoy this offer. This includes "advance planning of trips by obtaining all the necessary information through the information and assistance services (customer relations center 2255, website, social networks and ONCF mobile application)".
Finally, to allow its customers to better enjoy the new provisions, ONCF reminds them of the systematic 10% reduction by anticipating the purchase of tickets, at the latest the day before departure, or by opting for the various discount card formulas allowing to save considerably on the travel budget (youth card, seniors card, Attalib card).
