Morocco’s Ombudsman Sees 7.84% Rise in Complaints, Reaching Over 5,400 in 2021

In 2021, 5,409 complaints were received by the Ombudsman of the Kingdom, up 7.84% compared to 2020.
The Institution unveiled its annual report for the year 2021 on Friday. According to President Mohamed Benalilou, a total of 5,409 complaints and grievances were received from users in different regions, compared to 3,547 in 2020, representing an increase of 7.84%.
More specifically, the agency recorded 1,834 complaints that did not fall within its jurisdiction, an increase of 16.59% compared to 2020. The ombudsman also reported that 752 grievances (13.90%) were filed online.
