Morocco’s OCP Group to Supply 40,000 Tons of Fertilizer to Bangladesh

Bangladesh expects to receive a major shipment of diammonium phosphate (DAP) from the OCP group, one of its suppliers, soon.
After the green light from the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchases, the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) will soon receive a stock of 40,000 tons of diammonium phosphate (DAP) from the OCP group as part of a tender for the purchase of a total stock of 70,000 tons of fertilizers on the international market, reports the Bangladeshi daily newspaper Newage Business, specialized in news on Bangladesh and international business. The import price is $610 per ton of DAP.
Last October, Rabat and Dhaka concluded an agreement for a total supply of 520,000 tons of DAP from Morocco during the 2022/2023 fiscal year. In 2021, the OCP Group had delivered fertilizers worth $566 million to its partner, which represents a third of Bangladesh’s total purchases.
