Morocco’s Northern Coast Named Top August Travel Destination by Tourism Platform

A platform specializing in tourism places Morocco in the ranking of the 13 best places to travel in August and highlights interesting activities to do.
Morocco ranks third in the list of the 13 best places to travel in August established by AFAR. This magazine invites travelers to head to the renowned northern coast of Morocco, particularly due to the renewed interest in cities like Tangier, but also to return to the less frequented eastern coast overlooking the Atlantic, "which has a special appeal, especially for surf enthusiasts".
The tourism-specialized platform also invites travelers, particularly surfers, to discover Oualidia, "a lagoon (which) allows the ocean to infiltrate through a narrow opening, which helps to better regulate the waves". It also suggests Sidi Kaouki, "where the waters are just as easy to manage". "The more experienced can even try a tube wave near the fishing village of Safi, where the swell is widely recognized as one of the best in Africa," it adds.
Regarding transportation, AFAR advises travelers to try the national airline Royal Air Maroc, which offers direct flights from cities like Miami and New York, and the new high-performance high-speed train Al Boraq, which also ensures the transport of travelers across the kingdom.
Curaçao tops the ranking. This destination is followed by Edinburgh, (Scotland). Nova Scotia (Canada) takes fourth place, while Crater Lake National Park (Oregon) takes fifth place. Next come Toronto (Canada), Saitama Prefecture, (Japan), Grenada, Lake Garda (Italy) and Bold Coast (Maine). Eyre Peninsula (South Australia) occupies 11th place. Ascona (Switzerland) and San Francisco (California) close out the podium.
