Morocco-Nigeria Gas Pipeline Project Advances with Joint Management Venture

In a joint statement, Morocco and Nigeria announced that they have entrusted the management of the gas pipeline project to a joint venture composed of ILF Consulting and DORIS Engineering.
The Moroccan and Nigerian authorities intend to make this joint project a real tool for African integration. It is precisely because of its importance that the state-owned oil and gas companies of Nigeria and Morocco (NNPC and ONHYM) have awarded the management consulting contract to ILF Consulting and DORIS Engineering.
6,000 km long, with a diameter of 48 inches offshore and 56 inches onshore, with a transport capacity of 30 billion cubic meters per year, the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline will start from the south of Nigeria, i.e. the Niger Delta basin, pass through 11 other countries before reaching Morocco.
Once in Morocco, it will be connected to existing infrastructure to supply Europe. The Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline, once completed, will be the second longest gas pipeline in the world.
