Morocco’s En-Nesyri Apologizes for Outburst After World Cup Qualifier Substitution

Youssef En-Nesyri apologized to the technical staff of the Moroccan national team after his inappropriate behavior following his substitution during the match against Zambia (2-1), counting for the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
In a post on his Instagram account, En-Nesyri apologized profusely for throwing a water bottle on the ground after being substituted in this match played Friday at the Grand Stade d’Agadir.
The FC Seville striker accompanied his post with a photo of him kissing the head of the Moroccan national team’s equipment manager who was splashed by the water from the bottle thrown in anger. The Atlas Lion apologized to the person concerned and to the entire staff, as well as to the supporters and fans, stating that he had acted in a fit of anger.
