Morocco’s National Soccer Team Tops Arab World in Player Value, Worth $279 Million

The Moroccan national football team is at the top of the podium of the most expensive national teams in the Arab world. It would be worth $279 million, thus surpassing Algeria and Egypt.
This ranking by the "Forbes Middle East" magazine published by the daily Al Akhbar informs that, thanks to their performance in their respective championships, Moroccan internationals have the best rating on the Arab world’s player stock exchange.
The newspaper reports that ’Achraf Hakimi (Inter Milan), with $73 million, records the highest market value, becoming the most expensive Arab player, followed by Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea) with $40 million. Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla) is in third place with a market value of $30 million.
According to Forbes, Morocco is closely followed in this ranking by Algeria in 2nd place with a value of $236 million thanks to Riyad Mahrez ($51.2 million). The Fennecs outpace Egypt and the Pharaohs, whose value is estimated at $197 million.
At the African level, the Atlas Lions are 3rd in the ranking behind Senegal, whose market value is estimated by Forbes at $418 million, and Côte d’Ivoire, which totals a value of $287 million.
