Morocco Named Top 10 Travel Destination for 2020 by Lonely Planet

"Lonely planet" has just published its travel guide to inform travelers around the world about the best destinations in 2020. Among the countries included in the top 10 of this tool with a great reputation, is Morocco, a country whose assets are no longer to be presented.

In the ranking established this year by Lonely planet, the choice of Morocco is due to its "historical attractions, sustainable and elegant accommodation, restaurants serving seasonal produce and coastal wellness retreats combining yoga and surfing," reports Huffpost Maghreb.

The Kingdom has also managed to seduce through its new infrastructures such as its high-speed train, but also through numerous works taking place in the old medinas of historical cities such as Fez, Essaouira, Meknes, Tetouan and Marrakech.

The latter, known in particular for its attractiveness, will be the African capital of culture, "in tribute to its rich heritage," the same source indicates.

This ranking is made by the editors and editors-in-chief of the site as well as by "influencers" of Lonely planet, after a meticulous study and a "fierce debate", which made it possible to select, in the end, 10 countries, 10 regions, 10 cities and 10 destinations, chosen for their topicality, their unique experiences and the "Wow" factor, we are informed.

Among the countries that outrank Morocco in this new ranking, we could mention Liberia (8th), the Netherlands (7th), Costa Rica (6th), Eswatini (5th) and Aruba (4th). At the top of the pack, we find Bhutan, England and North Macedonia. Uruguay closes the top 10 by positioning itself in tenth place.
