Morocco Named Best African Golf Tourism Destination for 2024

On the sidelines of the European Convention of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) held in Malaga, Morocco was named "Best African Golf Tourism Destination of the Year".
New consecration for the destination Morocco. After studying the performance of the 1st quarter of 2024 and the degree of satisfaction of their clients for their vote, 660 golf tour operators participating in the European Convention of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) designated the destination Morocco as the "Best African Golf Tourism Destination for the year 2024". The kingdom owes this distinction to the joint efforts of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (FRMG) and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
The partnership between the ONMT and the FRMG aims to make Morocco a true golf tourism destination in its own right. Last November, the Office entered into a partnership with the giant Netflix to promote golf in Morocco. It is also a question of installing the "Morocco, Land of Light" brand internationally on the golf segment by benefiting from the firepower of the American international company. The ONMT is thus betting on innovation through its "Light in Action" action plan, offering the destination Morocco exceptional opportunities reaching millions of people around the world.
Golf is a vector of tourism development with high potential, set to perform strongly thanks to the prestigious golf destinations in the country and the major international events organized there, the ONMT said in a statement.
