This discontent echoes a growing national popular rejection. An online petition calling for the abolition of daylight saving time has exceeded 10,000 signatories, the text denouncing a disruption of the biological clock and a negative impact on health and productivity at work.

The protest is also gaining ground in Parliament, where opposition MPs are demanding a scientific and social evaluation of GMT+1 from the executive.
