Morocco’s Mobile Payment Revolution: Banks Predict 100% Growth in 5 Years

Mobile payment is gradually becoming more democratic and allows you to pay for your purchases with your smartphone. Moroccan banks are very optimistic and expect the service to explode in the next five years.
Thanks to the many applications set up by the banks, the mobile payment method will experience an estimated growth of nearly 100%, according to specialists cited by Hespress.
The strong expansion of the sector will certainly benefit mobile operators and banks, who will have the opportunity to develop their customer portfolio, especially since the electronic payments market offers huge potential.
According to forecasts, the turnover of electronic transactions will increase by 300%, from 26 billion dirhams to 77 billion, initially, before stabilizing at 126 billion dirhams between 2019 and 2025, in a second phase.
