Morocco’s Mazraoui Sidelined for Months After Heart Surgery

Bad news for the Atlas Lions. The Moroccan team will be without their defender Noussair Mazraoui for the coming months.
The Moroccan international from Manchester United underwent surgery following a heart arrhythmia. He is expected to be absent from the pitch for several months.
After the announcement of this bad news, national coach Walid Regragui proceeded on Monday to replace Noussair Mazraoui, who was in the starting lineup for the matches against the Central African Republic. The Moroccan technician called up the left-back of Raja de Casablanca, Youssef Belaamri, to replace him.
"The Manchester United defender, Noussair Mazraoui, will be sidelined due to a diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia. Sources indicate that Mazraoui has undergone an intervention to correct this condition. It is also reported that the player has had heart problems in the past," says the British media The UnitedHQ.
The number 3 of the Red Devils had been a victim of pericarditis upon his return from the Qatar 2022 World Cup with Morocco, where he had suffered from Covid-19. A situation that had kept him away from the pitch for a long period. Since his arrival at Manchester United, the Atlas Lion has only one assist to his name in eight matches played.
