After a three-year interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Maroc Cultures association announces the return of the Mawazine-Rhythms of the World festival in 2024 for its 19th edition. This festival is considered one of the largest cultural events in the world.

"The Maroc Cultures association is pleased to announce to the Mawazine public that the festival will resume its activities as early as 2024 to meet the expectations of festival-goers who are longing for the return of this unique and essential event, at the crossroads of all cultures," the association said in a statement.

Held each year for nine days, Mawazine offers a rich program that blends the biggest stars of the global and Arab repertoire, making the cities of Rabat and Salé the theater of exceptional encounters between the public and renowned artists. With nearly 3 million festival-goers at its last edition in 2018, the festival has broken all records and thus confirms its place as an international music event offering strong exposure of the values of openness and tolerance, it is specified.

Mawazine, it is recalled, is entirely autonomous and remains open to all contributions that respect the values of Maroc Cultures. Its economic model is based on revenue from ticket sales and sponsorship from private companies, with the help of public authorities, authorities and security services to ensure the smooth running of the event. Similarly, the festival supports the regional and national tourism economy and is dedicated to democratizing access to culture by offering free access to 90% of its festival-goers.
