Morocco - Mauritania match: Amir Abdou warns the Atlas Lions

Morocco faces Mauritania in a friendly match on Tuesday at the Grand Stadium of Agadir. A match that will not be easy for the Atlas Lions, warns the coach of the Mauritanian team, Amir Abdou.
"We are preparing in Morocco for the matches between Senegal and Sudan as part of the World Cup qualifiers that we will host next June, and facing Morocco is very important to learn lessons and interact with strong teams. We will not be an easy prey and we will try to appear with an honorable face," said the Franco-Comorian technician in a statement to the Mauritanian Football Federation.
Amir Abdou says he is aware that the match against Morocco will not be easy, but is counting on the good form of his players who have achieved a historic run at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. The coach of the Mourabitounes has also stated that his team is determined to win against the Atlas Lions, semi-finalists of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Abdou apprehends the difficulty of this match which will be played in Morocco, in front of Moroccan supporters.
The Atlas Lions cannot afford to make a mistake, after their elimination in the round of 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. After their timid performance against Angola (1-0) last Friday in a friendly, Morocco will have to confirm its supremacy against Mauritania, tomorrow Tuesday at the Grand Stadium of Agadir.
