This call is based on health indicators considered worrying. In 2025, Morocco had approximately 23 500 people living with HIV, with 990 new infections and 400 recorded deaths. The MP nevertheless believes that these official figures underestimate a reality on the ground marked by numerous healthy carriers unaware of their status.

“Spouses discuss many trivial matters and forget the essential: their health,” the parliamentarian stated. She warned of the risks of transmitting serious diseases such as syphilis or viral hepatitis within couples, stressing that children may also be affected if a diagnosis is not made before marriage.
