Morocco’s Marrakech-Casablanca Train Service Resumes After Derailment

The Marrakech-Casablanca axis has finally been restored, this Wednesday, according to a press release from the National Railway Office (ONCF), on its website.
The day after the derailment without major incident of a train connecting Marrakech to Casablanca, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, the National Railway Office (ONCF) took all the appropriate measures to repair the incident.
According to a press release from the Office, the work to resume traffic on the Marrakech-Casablanca axis lasted all night and continued until Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at noon.
"The ONCF informs its esteemed customers that, as planned, normal train traffic on the Casablanca-Marrakech axis has resumed today at 12 p.m.," can be read on the Office’s website, to the general satisfaction of the customers.
It should be noted that, to ensure traffic between Casablanca and El Jadida, Settat and Marrakech, a bus has been set up since Tuesday, the same source recalls.
The Office, while apologizing for the inconveniences, nevertheless reminds its customers to "inquire about train schedules at the stations and through its official pages on social networks, its website and the Customer Relations Center, at number 2255".
