Morocco’s Manufacturing Sector Sees 0.3% Rise in Producer Prices for February

For the month of February 2021, the producer price index for the "Manufacturing industries excluding petroleum refining" sector increased by 0.3%. This is according to information published by the High Commission for Planning (HCP).
The increase in the producer price index for the "Manufacturing industries excluding petroleum refining" sector is the result of the increase in prices for "Metallurgy" by 4.2%, "Manufacture of electrical equipment" by 0.7%, "Food industries" by 0.1%, "Wood processing and manufacture of wood and cork products" by 1.8% and "Textile manufacture" by 0.3%, the High Commission for Planning said in an information note related to the producer, energy and mining price index (IPPIEM) for February 2021.
This development is also the result of the drop in prices for "Manufacture of rubber and plastic products" by 0.9%. As for the producer price indices for the "Mining industries", "Electricity production and distribution" and "Water production and distribution" sectors, no change occurred during the month of February 2021.
