Morocco Mandates Vaccine Pass for Public Offices and Government Workers

As of this Thursday, October 21, 2021, access to administrations will only be granted after presenting the vaccine pass. Civil servants are also affected by this measure, which takes into account all public places.
On Wednesday, government ministers sent circulars to their central and external services, informing them of the obligation to have a vaccine pass before accessing public places. Civil servants of public, semi-public and private establishments must also present the vaccine pass before accessing their offices, reports the daily Assabah.
"We will proceed, at first, with a lot of flexibility. After, it is up to the authorities to decide, by regulatory means, on the course of action. As a minister, I cannot prohibit a civil servant from accessing his work without a legal basis," explains a minister of the Akhannouch government.
In a statement to the newspaper Assabah, the Minister of Health, Khalid Aït Taleb, affirmed that rigorous and regular checks will be carried out to ensure compliance with these measures.
