Moroccans are required to wear a mask outside their home. The Ministry of the Interior calls on the authorities to accompany them in enforcing the application of this measure aimed at the well-being of all.
It is in a press release that the Ministry of the Interior indicated that wearing a mask is now mandatory for everyone. This is part of "a constant and continuous concern to preserve the health and safety of citizens and in order to implement all the precautionary and preventive measures against the coronavirus".
The Ministry of the Interior warns citizens that "anyone who violates this provision is liable to the penalties provided for in Article 4 of Decree-Law No. 220 292, which provides for a prison sentence of one to three months and a fine ranging from 300 to 1,300 dirhams, or one of the two penalties without prejudice to the most severe criminal penalty", specifies the same source.
