Morocco’s PM Links Real Estate Challenges to Colonial Legacy, Unveils New National Strategy

The Head of Government, Saâdeddine El Otmani, made a rather surprising statement on real estate issues, when presenting the report of the study on the national strategy for the state’s real estate policy and the action plan for its implementation. The Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) was in charge of this.
A press release from the Prime Minister’s Department reviews Saâdeddine El Otmani’s statement. Real estate "poses many problems inherited from the colonial era," he said. For him, Morocco will make a qualitative leap in the development of a national real estate strategy. Hence the importance of the study commissioned by the government from the CESE.
This study "is of particular importance because it constitutes a platform for a national real estate strategy that responds to a number of aspirations in terms of land reform in our country," it is specified.
The Head of Government will add that the consultation around this project has several positive aspects, and will ensure the required convergence to overcome the problems of the sector.
