Morocco Leads North Africa in Green Tea Consumption, Importing 70,000 Tons Annually

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the Moroccan tea market, its constraints, its requirements and the prospects for strengthening trade ties in this field.
The volume of Morocco’s green tea imports amounts to 70,000 tons per year, said Mohamed Astaib, president of AMITC. A figure that positions the Kingdom as the largest consumer in North Africa.
The Kingdom also stands out as China’s leading partner with a 25% share of China’s total exports.
