Things are taking shape for the execution of the second Casablanca-Rabat highway, aimed at alleviating the foreseeable congestion of the existing highway. Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) has just launched a call for tenders.
The contract consists of two lots: the first concerns the Casablanca-Benslimane section and the second Benslimane-Rabat. The two studies are divided into several lots and will be carried out in three phases. Phase 1 concerns the preliminary geometry study. Phase 2 focuses on the actual execution study. As for phase 3, it concerns two lots related to lighting and signage studies. The overall duration of these studies is 36 months.
According to the CEO of ADM, Anouar Benazzouz, the cost of this project is estimated at 5 billion dirhams, with a preliminary schedule of 4 years of work, from 2023 to 2026.
