Morocco Launches Discounted Train Travel Card to Boost Domestic Tourism

The National Railway Office (ONCF) and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) are joining forces for better tourist service in the kingdom. The top two officials of the two structures signed a partnership agreement on Monday, which includes the launch of the "Ntlakaoo Fi bladna" card.
This partnership is mainly based on "the implementation of joint actions to revitalize the mobility and attractiveness of Morocco’s tourist regions for nationals and Moroccans abroad," a statement said, specifying that these actions take into account information, communication, support, data sharing, and the co-construction of development tools between the two partners.
With the launch of the "Ntlakaoo Fi bladna" (Let’s meet in our country) card, 350,000 discounted travel tickets have been sold, between 49 dirhams and 99 dirhams, to allow Moroccans to travel on the "Al Boraq" or "Atlas" train lines. In addition, prices have been reduced for small group trips of 2 to 5 people, with a 50% reduction on "Atlas" train trips and 30% on "Al Boraq" trains. This operation, it is said, comes to strengthen the links between the ONMT’s expertise in marketing the tourist offer and the ONCF’s know-how in developing travel solutions favorable to the sustainable movement of citizens.
It should be noted that these offers are available in all ONCF stations and on the website until September 15, 2021. Thanks to this initiative, the tourism sector will regain its breath after several months of decline due to the health crisis. It is also an opportunity for the two partners to improve their experience in order to offer travelers several information and inspiration tools to encourage more people to travel and discover the wonders of the country.
