Morocco Launches Digital Survey to Boost Diaspora’s Role in National Development

The Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) has just launched a digital consultation for Moroccans of the world (MDM). It is part of the instructions given by King Mohammed VI in the speech delivered on the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People during which he called for supporting the MDM so that they can contribute to national development.
Launched on the digital platform ouchariko.ma, this consultation will allow the CESE to develop a study on the actions and strategies to be implemented to further strengthen the contribution of Moroccans of the world in the development process of the kingdom. It will also allow to collect the opinion of the MREs on the same question, indicates a press release from the Council.
All Moroccans, regardless of their place of residence abroad, are concerned by this consultation, the questionnaire of which has been posted online in seven languages (Arabic, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch), and revolves around questions such as: "how to better protect the rights and serve the interests of MDM abroad and on the territory?", "how to better involve MDM in the success of the national development model?" and "how to reduce obstacles and strengthen the active participation and representation of MDM in the co-construction of public policies that concern them".
The CESE hopes for the massive participation of Moroccans residing abroad in this consultation, in order to "strengthen their contribution to the political, economic and development dynamics of Morocco", concludes the press release.
