Morocco Launches Anti-Dumping Probe into Vietnamese Bike and Motorcycle Tires

Morocco has opened, for the first time ever, an anti-dumping investigation into bicycle and motorcycle tires and inner tubes originating from or imported from Vietnam.
The investigation targets bicycle and motorcycle tires and inner tubes with HS codes. Vietnam exported $150,000 worth of tires in 2019 and only $74,000 in 2020 before reaching $636,000 in 2021. The Moroccan Ministry of Commerce has sent an anti-dumping questionnaire to tire and inner tube manufacturers and exporters in Vietnam. The deadline to respond to the questions is November 22.
The Vietnam Trade Remedies Authority under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has advised the companies concerned to react quickly to ensure that exports to this market continue as usual. And warned: "the lack of cooperation during the investigation may lead Morocco to impose a high anti-dumping duty on Vietnam’s exports."
