Morocco Lauded by US for Women’s Land Rights Initiative
The US State Department cited Morocco as an example of women’s empowerment through the support campaign for the melkization operation aimed at the appropriation of soulaliyate lands, as part of the partnership with the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
Last Tuesday, a virtual event took place on "the development and prosperity of women in the world". It was attended by the advisor to the US president, Ivanka Trump, and other political figures.
During these exchanges, Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun indicated that the "Millennium Challenge Corporation has worked with the Moroccan government, through the "Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative (W-GDP)", to recognize the rights of all heirs, especially daughters, to inherit and own land".
Throughout the process, Morocco has been diligent and concerned about the issue of women’s empowerment.
