Morocco’s King Unveils $12.8 Billion Economic Recovery Plan Amid COVID-19 Crisis

In order to effectively deal with the effects of the Covid-19 health crisis, King Mohammed VI announced on Wednesday the implementation of a 120 billion dirham support plan for the economy, or 11% of the kingdom’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The king Mohammed VI, in a message to the nation, announced the creation of a strategic investment fund to support economic activity.
The government had indicated a few days ago that the Moroccan economy would contract by 5% this year.
It should be recalled that Morocco has more than 23,200 cases of coronavirus contamination and 346 deaths.
