Morocco’s King Sends Condolences to Ethiopia After Deadly Plane Crash

King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolence and compassion to Ethiopian President Sahle-Work Zewde following the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines plane that claimed many victims.
On this painful occasion, the Sovereign expresses, in His own name and on behalf of the Moroccan people, His deep condolences and sincere feelings of compassion to Ms. Sahle-Work and, through her, to the families of the victims and the brotherly Ethiopian people, wishing the Ethiopian President and the relatives of the victims patience and comfort, reports the MAP.
The 149 passengers and 8 crew members of the Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed shortly after takeoff did not survive. The plane was headed to Nairobi, Kenya, from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
Among the passengers were two Moroccans: Ahmed Chihab, an official of the Ministry of the Environment, and El Hassan Sayouti, a university professor at the University of Hassan II in Casablanca.
