Morocco’s King to Receive New Development Model Report Amid Pandemic Challenges

Morocco is in search of a new development model. It is Chakib Benmoussa, the president of the Special Commission responsible for developing the report on this document, who will present it to King Mohammed VI on Friday, May 21 in Fez.
This is a report that has been scrutinized by the 35 members of the Commission against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic that will be presented to the king, reports Atlasinfo, specifying that it is after about thirty field visits, punctuated by exchanges with many officials in person or by videoconference, the animation of 113 discussion workshops, and the processing of 6,600 written contributions from various organizations.
Last June, this commission had obtained from the sovereign an additional six months to allow it to produce quality work on the various aspects of this projected model and to take into account the implications and transformations born of the Covid-19 pandemic, without forgetting the lessons to be learned from it in the medium and long term, both within Morocco and internationally.
