Morocco’s King Praised for Swift Coronavirus Response by Arab World Institute Head
In a correspondence, the president of the Arab World Institute (IMA), Jack Lang, congratulated Morocco and King Mohammed VI for the actions and the spirit of anticipation surrounding the fight against the spread of the coronavirus in the kingdom.
"Your sovereign has been able to react quickly and your authorities have been up to the expectations of the Moroccans. [...] Morocco and its king will always be present at the rendezvous of history," wrote Jack Lang in his message addressed to Mehdi Qotbi, president of the National Foundation of Museums of Morocco.
"It’s true, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, His Majesty King Mohammed VI has been able to anticipate quickly, even though Morocco was barely touched by this global health crisis," replied the recipient of the letter.
Mehdi Qotbi added that "the system put in place to stop the spread of Covid-19, under the leadership of our king, once again shows that we are capable of the best when the worst threatens to reach us".
