Morocco’s King Offers Condolences to Algeria as Deadly Wildfires Ravage North

Following the terrible fires that have hit northern Algeria and caused enormous loss of human life, King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to the Algerian President, Abdelmajid Tebboune, reiterating his closeness of thought and solidarity.
In this message, the Moroccan sovereign states that he learned with sadness the news of the violent fires that ravaged forests in certain wilayas in northern Algeria, causing extensive damage and several victims.

Thus, in his name and on behalf of the Moroccan people, Mohammed VI expresses to the Algerian president and, through him, to the bereaved families and the Algerian people, his heartfelt condolences and sincere feelings of compassion, and his total solidarity.
He implores the Almighty to grant President Tebboune, the families of the victims and the Algerian people, comfort and compassion, to surround the victims with His holy mercy and to preserve the brotherly Algerian people from all misfortune. To all the injured, he wishes a speedy recovery.
