Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Spotted in Paris After COVID-19 Recovery

Tested positive for Covid-19 since mid-June, King Mohammed VI made his first public appearance in Paris where he is on vacation.
King Mohammed VI’s personal physician, Professor Lahcen Belyamani, had announced the news of his Covid-19 infection and explained that the monarch would take a few days off. Mohammed VI had managed to avoid Covid-19 so far. At the end of 2021, Morocco had closed the airspace to limit the spread of the Omicron variant. Land borders in Ceuta and Melilla have also remained closed since March 2020, recalls Vanitatis.
But fortunately, Mohammed VI seems to have recovered wonderfully. In a video posted on Twitter, he is seen walking in a shopping center in Paris where he has been on vacation since June 1. In the images, the monarch appears dressed in a T-shirt and jacket, and surrounded by a group of men including Mohamed Mezouari, better known as Hamicha, a Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer.
The monarch has not been to Paris since 2018. He is currently staying in a private hotel near the Eiffel Tower, which he bought in July 2020 for 80 million euros, as well as in a castle in Betz, in the Oise department, owned by the Moroccan royal family.
