Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Leads National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign

The launch of the national vaccination campaign by King Mohammed VI was experienced as a national event in neighboring Spain. For an Iberian media, the Sovereign is considered the son of King Juan Carlos.
The latest activity of the King of Morocco has been widely reported in the international press. In Spain, the newspaper L’Economista, which extensively covered the Sovereign’s latest heart surgery, stressed that he is the first Moroccan to receive the new anti-Covid-19 vaccine.
The Spanish media added that Mohammed VI has always been considered the son of King Juan Carlos, given the strong and close ties that united the former Spanish monarch to King Hassan II.
King Mohammed VI received his dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday at the royal palace in Fez, thus kicking off the national vaccination campaign. With 60 million doses ordered, Morocco plans to vaccinate 80% of its adult population.
