Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Cancels France Trip Due to Pneumonia

Mohammed VI, who has just contracted an acute viral bilateral pneumopathy, has been prescribed medical treatment. Thus, his personal physician has recommended a few days of rest, reports the MAP.
In order to privately present his condolences to the family and close friends of the late President, Jacques Chirac, King Mohammed VI had planned to travel to France.
Indeed, strong and deep relations have always linked the two families and the Sovereign manifested a particular affection and consideration towards this great friend of Morocco.
However, given the state of health of the Moroccan sovereign and the recommendations of his personal physician, Mohammed VI will not be able to make this trip. He will be represented at the official funeral of the late French President by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, the same source said.
Presented as a great friend of Morocco, the death of the former French President, which occurred on September 26, touched more than one in the Kingdom.
