Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Acquires Elite Stallion for 60,000 Euros

King Mohammed VI has acquired Impérial d’Euzkadi, a 3-year-old stallion, born in Bidart at the farm of French breeder Marc Hiriart. The animal is trained for a sports career.
The 3-year-old stallion, Impérial d’Euzkadi, was sold for 60,000 euros to King Mohammed VI during the auctions that took place from August 30 to September 4, reports Sud Ouest. "Impérial d’Euskadi is the offspring of a very high performer named ’Comme-Il-Faut’. The latter is ridden by one of the best German riders. His mother was born in my stud, she is Tendresse d’Euskadi," explains Marc Hiriart. Tendresse’s mother is the very first mare born under the same suffix, Native d’Euskadi. The three-year-old stallion is therefore part of the third generation of products from my stud."
After a quarantine period in Paris, his presentation to the sovereign, Impérial d’Euskadi will have to return to Belgium with the trainer of the three riders of the Moroccan national team. The animal will thus be trained to have a sports career or even a stallion career. It will all depend on its performance.
