Morocco’s King Fulfills Scholarship Promise to Senegalese Religious Leader

King Mohammed VI has offered the Khalifa General of the Mourides of Senegal the 4th tranche of the 30 scholarships promised. The latest batch of 120 beneficiaries of this training program will depart for Morocco next week.
Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, upon receiving this last tranche through the Minister of Religious Affairs, prayed for the recipients departing for [Morocco] next Tuesday. He also gave them some advice.
According to the authority of Touba, the quest for knowledge takes precedence over everything. In his view, all those who fight in this direction are also in phase with him. "It is true that the concerns are immense, but knowledge is paramount. For, the more one deepens it, the more one knows. It is a guarantee for success here and beyond," said the Khalifa General of the Mourides of Senegal.
Among the trainees who have already benefited from this training program are the grandchildren of Serigne Touba, Mame Mor Diara, great Mouride dignitaries and talibés.
