Erdogan’s Africa Tour Skips Morocco, Raising Diplomatic Questions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is on a tour of the African continent. However, a visit to Morocco is not on his agenda.
At the invitation of his counterparts in Algeria, Gambia and Senegal, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is making an official visit to these countries from January 26 to 28. On this occasion, he will discuss bilateral relations in all their aspects with his African peers. Curiously, he has not responded to the invitation from Morocco.
The Turkish president has indeed excluded the kingdom from his agenda for Africa. Yet it had been announced that Recep Tayyip Erdogan would soon visit Morocco. Following a meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the 74th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Foreign Minister, had told 2M that King Mohammed VI had invited Erdogan.
